The D.C. metropolitan area is home to the largest population of Salvadorans in the country. The Salvadoran Literature Committee seeks to educate the UMD campus community about the Salvadoran voices and stories that exist right here in Maryland. In addition, the committee teaches members about Salvadoran culture and history.
