Shavon is the business coordinator for the Do Good Institute where she enjoys aligning her passion for philanthropy and her administrative experience to support the critical business, financial, and programmatic functions of the Institute.
Shavon brings years of experience ensuring the development & implementation of program initiatives in the public & nonprofit sector. As a previous coordinator for the City of Atlanta Teen’s Learning Control program she worked intently with students to help them make smarter and safer decisions behind the wheel. Additionally, her work as a program assistant supporting the Young Black and Giving Back Institute’s 2021 Give 8/28 campaign helped to contribute to more than$178K raised in collective support for Black-led and Black-benefiting nonprofits.
Shavon holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Bennett College, one of the nation's two Historically Black Colleges for women. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Maryland, College Park. Shavon fully embraces the Do Good Institute’s culture of impacting the world as an agent of change. She believes that leaders must lead with passion and innovation, moving their causes and organizations forward. She is excited to help students facilitate that change on campus and within the community.
