The Do Good Institute is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Do Good Challenge this year!

The campus-wide Do Good Challenge inspires students to make a difference for the issues, ideas and communities they care about. This year's Finals event will be a celebration of all that has been accomplished in the last decade by Do Good teams and a look to the future to see where student innovation will take us next.

To help celebrate this milestone, the Do Good Institute is hosting a contest to find a commemorative design that celebrates the last decade of Terp-led social impact and innovation and portrays the spirit of UMD's Do Good Campus. The winning design will be featured on special edition t-shirts and other commemorative items that will be given out and featured exclusively at the Challenge Finals event on April 21, 2022.

Theme

The theme of the design should celebrate University of Maryland’s Do Good Campus; showcasing all the ways Terps do good. The design does not have to say “University of Maryland” or “Do Good Institute” but the motif should be a very evident reflection of UMD’s Do Good Campus.

Over the last 10 years as part of the Do Good Challenge, Maryland students have taken their fearless ideas and worked to create change on campus, in College Park, throughout the state, across the country and around the globe. These changemakers are tackling issues and causes from climate change to food waste, from sexual assault prevention to mental health awareness, from community-aid to community gardens, from mentorship and tutoring to cancer support and so much more. For more information about UMD’s Do Good Campus and the students effecting change on campus and beyond visit dogood.umd.edu.
