Kaitlin is the manager of communications for the Do Good Institute . She is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications, marketing and branding efforts, including developing new programs, communications-based initiatives and social and media relations campaigns; managing important partnerships; creating and managing messaging, style guide, and other materials, and more to support Institute staff, grow brand awareness, and increase thought leadership in the field.

Over the course of her career, Kaitlin has positively impacted education institutions, nonprofits, government agencies, corporations, and those they serve. Prior to joining the Do Good Institute, Kaitlin worked for a purpose-driven communications agency focused on helping move missions forward for organizations that do good for the good of others. Her creative thinking and passion for telling stories about positive change, innovative ideas and social impact have enabled her to secure valuable media coverage across a range of local and national publications, including the Washington Post, Chronicle of Philanthropy, Bethesda Magazine, Los Angeles Times, and Fast Company.  

Kaitlin previously served as the public information officer for The Humane Society of the United States, where she led and executed media relations strategies for various animal welfare campaigns, the advancement of state and federal legislation and ballot initiatives, and large scale events. She started her career at a boutique, woman-owned public relations agency, developing and implementing strategic public relations campaigns and events, including the dedication of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C.  

Kaitlin graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and received a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Maryland. A Maryland native, Kaitlin now lives in Ventura, California with her husband and two rescue dogs.
