Monica Chung is the assistant director, operations for the Do Good Institute. The Do Good Institute serves as the catalyst to transform the University of Maryland into the nation’s first Do Good Campus, where students are inspired to take action and spur innovations and solutions that tackle today’s social issues. As assistant director, operations, Chung leads critical DGI business and operations team, overseeing all aspects of budgeting, finance and operations for efficient and effective organization growth.
Chung first joined the Institute in 2018 as the business manager with years of experience working in business management, administration and finance. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked with the University of Maryland's Athletics Department for five years in several management, finance and administration roles.
Prior to joining University of Maryland, Chung worked as a financial graduate assistant at Saint Francis University, where she audited, reconciled, budgeted and logged all departmental expenses for the athletics department.
Chung holds a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Business Administration from Saint Francis University, and, most recently, earned the University of Maryland graduate certificate in nonprofit management and leadership.
